Wedding Guest Sign-in Book, the III

This is the third Wedding Guest Sign-in Book that I've made. Per request of Tori, I put a picture of the lovebirds on the front cover. She didn't specify that she wanted it in a window, but I thought that would be the best way to protect the photo.
I've never done a window in my book covers before. There was quite a bit of trial and error to make sure the window looked just right, and in the end, I realized I loved the look.

Each page had an engagement photo on it, with room for the guests to sign their names and give a small message for the bride and groom.Congratulations Tori! Thanks for letting me a part of your special day!

Another Wedding Album and Gift

I had another order for a wedding guest sign-in book. It turned out quite similar to my sister's, except for a different print of paper for the cover (which was the same print used on the bride and groom's wedding invitations) and the ribbon which is orange instead of green. I didn't put any of the pictures in this one--the bride didn't have them yet--so she decided she would do that part.

As a gift to the bride and groom, I made these two 52 Reasons books for them.

Wedding Guest Book

This is the second project I worked on for my sister's wedding. She wanted a guest sign-in book for the reception with their engagement pictures on the pages. The book turned out to be 8.5x11. I was nervous about it because I'd never done one this large, let alone one with pictures (which means I needed to tweak the binding), but I think it turned out nice.


I used a quote about love from one her fiance's emails in the front cover, and then filled the book with 25 of their engagement pictures--one on each page. We found metallic sharpies for the guests to sign their names or write a brief message to the bride and groom.

On the back inside cover, I put their wedding invitations as a remembrance for their future kids to see.

I was excited with how it turned out . . . and sad to see it go!

Marriage Manuals

While I was home for my sister's wedding, I was also in charge of part of the bridal shower activities. Since there are no manuals for surviving marriage, I made these "Marriage Manuals" that all the guests could write advice in.

There were three volumes:

Volume I: How to Make Your House a Home

Volume II: How to Live Rich When Poor

Volume III: How to Keep the Love Alive

They were accordian books with pockets in them. The guests wrote advice on each topic on the slips of paper, then slid them into the pockets.

You could also use this at a baby shower for guests to fill in advice for the new parents.

For Him/For Her

These books were fun to make. I came up with this idea to give as a wedding gift to the newlyweds. It's a set of mini-books, and to start out with, the boy takes the maroon one and the girl takes the blue one. There are forty pages in each, and the title page states: "Top 40 Reasons I Love You."

The idea is that throughout the first year of marriage, they fill in each of the pages with reasons why they love their spouse. Then, on their first year anniversary, they already have a gift for each other: forty reasons of their love for one another.

Here is a picture of the books. They measure 4.25x2.25 and are filled with the white, 32 lb, watermarked paper.
